Our History
Lee and Joy Gustafson opened VS Marine in Santa Barbara, CA, in June 1964 with a passion for being on the water and building the most customized performance boats of the day. As times changed and business expanded, so did the business, by moving to a 5 acre facility in Atascadero, CA, in 1980, and then to the 12,000 square foot showroom we’re in now in 1985.
In the spring of 1997, their children, Kris and Tina Gustafson, purchased the business and the second generation continued to expand the offerings and services of the business, as VS Marine has done for over 50 years.
Our Products
VS Marine has always strived to offer the highest-quality boats in the industry. We added Malibu boats to our offering in 1984, making us the 2nd Malibu dealer. Currently, Malibu has is the #1 inboard manufacturer in the country. With the addition of AXIS in 2009 added a new opportunity for boaters to get the Malibu quality at a great value.
Service, Parts & Accessories
VS Marine’s Service Department is second to none. The certified and expertly factory trained technical staff specializes in all service aspects, from full over hauls to routine maintenance. We focus on nothing but boats and they do it well and efficiently with quick turnaround time.
While a boat is the first piece of the puzzle, VS Marine’s Pro Shop also provides the finest water sports equipment, including water skis, wakeboards, wake surfs, kneeboards, tubes, vests, tow ropes, and more.
